Thank you for supporting our Delaware County District Library! We’re excited to share the news that the 2025 DCDL levy has officially passed!
“In a time when conversations at the Ohio Statehouse suggest the potential erosion of critical library funding, Delaware County voters delivered a powerful affirmation of the values libraries embody: access, opportunity, and stronger communities. Ohio’s public libraries are among the best in the nation — not by accident, but because communities and libraries have worked hand in hand. That partnership is being tested, and our residents stood up. Our patrons rely on us for everything from early childhood literacy and job-seeking support to broadband access and lifelong learning. The reality is, if the State pulls back support, local communities will bear an even greater burden. Thankfully, our voters have once again shown they are willing to invest in the future — but that doesn’t absolve state leaders of their responsibility.” — DCDL Director Bryan Howard

The Friends works closely with the Delaware County District Library Director & staff to support our 5-branch library system and our community. This relationship allows the Friends to endeavor to fulfill the “wish list” that the managers and staff of the individual branches create each year. Some of the enhancements that can be seen at our branches are the Imagination Garden Shelter at the Orange branch, Interactive Smart Board at the Delaware Main branch, Community Room Carpet at the Ostrander branch, Shopping Carts & Keurig Coffee Machines at all branches, and Assistance Equipment such as CD players for audio books for the homebound, just to name a few.
Join the Friends for talks with engaging national authors. Come make a memorable impression or lasting connection with one of your favorite authors in an intimate, engaging environment. During our Q&A sessions, you'll have the golden opportunity to ask an expert for some writing pointers and refill your creative well.
